How does my campaign apply to receive a staffer?

Candidate/campaign applications will be available on May 1, 2008.  On that date, you may download the four-page application from this website or contact us if you want one mailed or faxed to you.  Candidate/campaign applications are due on June 13, 2008.

What qualifies a campaign to receive a Campaign Corp staffer?

Campaigns are chosen on three equally important criteria:  the candidate must be pro-choice; the campaign must be viable; and the campaign must demonstrate what substantive role a trained staffer would play on the race.

When will we know if we are going to receive a staffer?

Campaigns that have been selected to receive a Campaign Corps staffer will be notified by July 14, 2008.

What do we have to provide for the staffer:

The campaign is responsible for providing clean and safe housing for the Campaign Corp staffer from August 2 to November 7, 2008.

How does the in-kind contribution work?

Campaign Corps will provide a $1,000 per month stipend to each staffer which, along with the travel costs to and from the race, will be reported as an in-kind contribution to the campaign from EMILY's List.

Do we get to choose the staffer we want?

No.  We work with both the staffers and campaign to find an appropriate match.
