Truly reaching universal health care

New York Times columnist Paul Krugman points to a recent M.I.T. study showing a plan like Sen. Clinton's would be more successful in covering the uninsured. While Clinton's and Sen. Obama's plans are similar, the mandates in Clinton's plan, requiring everyone to have insurance, will cover twice as many uninsured Americans. Krugman notes, "The difference between plans could well be the difference between achieving universal health coverage - a key progressive goal - and falling far short."
