Perdue goes positive

With her May 6 primary for governor only a few weeks away and her opponent on the attack, North Carolina’s Bev Perdue made a bold and brave move last Thursday: she pulled her negative television ads. According to Perdue, who currently serves as the state’s lieutenant governor, she came to this principled decision after conversations with family, friends, and voters: “You’re supposed to fight negative with negative. . . [but] win or lose, this is the way I want to run this campaign.”
