Speier Gearing up for Special Election

EMILY's List candidate Jackie Speier is running a strong campaign to fill the seat of the late Rep. Tom Lantos in California's 12th district. Highly regarded by the people of the district and public leaders, her many years of experience as a San Mateo county supervisor, state assemblywoman, and a state senator make her the prime candidate for this seat. When elected to Congress, Speier plans to focus on increasing access to health care, protecting consumer rights, and ending the war in Iraq. The special primary election is set for April 8.
