EMILY's List Endorses Six More Women Leaders for the New Hampshire State Legislature

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, endorsed six more women leaders for the New Hampshire state Legislature. Stephanie Schriock, president of EMILYs List, released the following statement:

“Whether it’s electing a passionate new American who is running to represent every family in her home state, unseating Republicans who work for special interests instead of Granite Staters, or significantly increasing the number of pro-choice Democratic women in the state House, New Hampshire voters have the chance to make history this November. EMILYs List is proud to stand with all of these incredible candidates who belong in Concord.”
EMILYs List endorsed the following slate of candidates:

Francesca Diggs (Grafton 16)
Joelle Martin (Hillsborough 23)
Safiya Wazir (Merrimack 17)
Lisa Bunker (Rockingham 18)
Debra Altschiller (Rockingham 19)
Amanda Gourgue (Strafford 25)

These endorsements are in addition to 11 previously endorsed EMILYs List candidates – Debora Pignatelli (Executive Council, District 5), Anne Grassie (SD-06), Jenn Alford Teaster (SD-08), Shannon Chandley (SD-11), Melanie Levesque (SD-12), Cindy Rosenwald (SD-13), Donna Soucy (SD-18), Anita Burroughs (Carroll 1), Gerri Cannon (Strafford 18), Wendy Chase (Strafford 18) and Jackie Chretien (Hillsborough 42) – who advanced through their primary on September 11, 2018.

EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, has raised over $500 million to support pro-choice Democratic women candidates – making them one of the most successful political organizations ever. Our grassroots community of over five million members helps Democratic women wage competitive campaigns – and win. We recruit and train candidates, support strong campaigns, research the issues that impact women and families, and turn out women voters. Since our founding in 1985, we have helped elect 116 women to the House, 23 to the Senate, 12 governors, and over 800 to state and local office. Forty percent of the candidates EMILYs List has helped elect to Congress have been women of color. Since the 2016 election, thousands of women and counting have reached out to us about running for office. To harness this energy, EMILYs List has launched Run to Win, an unprecedented effort to get more women to run at the local, state, and national levels.
